John Maher BAgSc (Hons), MBA, GAICD
Managing Director - Ruralco

Appointed to Ruralco Holdings Limited in October 2006, John is responsible for the parent company and branded entities that form the largest network of independently owned stores and regional companies in agribusiness and real estate throughout Australia.

Prior to joining Ruralco, John was the Group General Manager of one of the country's largest agribusinesses involved in the distribution of rural supplies as well as the logistics, marketing and sale of livestock and wool and the provision of services relating to finance, insurance, agronomy, real estate, grain acquisition and grain marketing. He has also held senior positions in organisations involved in the international marketing of Australian agricultural commodities and rural consultancy.

 

Sue Shoobridge BComm, FCPA, GAICD
Chief Financial Officer


Sue is responsible for managing the Group's financial and statutory reporting, taxation and audit requirements. She joined Ruralco on the 3rd July 2007.

Sue has over 35 years experience in accounting, treasury, corporate finance and banking. Prior to joining Ruralco, Sue held the position of CFO with a Tasmanian financial services organisation for 9 years.

 
Peter Homann
General Manager - General Manager Southern operations

Peter commenced with Ruralco on 1 December 2006 and is responsible for the Wool and Livestock Division of the Group and for the Victorian based diversified agribusiness Rodwells & Co.

Peter has over 25 years experience in the meat and livestock industry, having significant experience in stock agency and supply chain operations. His experience includes 10 years with a major meat processing, feedlotting and farming business that has interests across Australia including Tasmania and King Island. He was most recently National Livestock Manager for a significant Australian agribusiness. Peter is a Director and President of the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association Limited.

 

Ian Armstrong MBA
National Manager Credit, Compliance & Risk

Ian commenced with Ruralco Holdings Limited in June 2008 and is responsible for managing the Group Credit function, Risk Register and general policy compliance.

In a career spanning 35 years, Ian has held various senior commercial, financial and risk orientated positions with a major national agribusiness for a majority of that time. Other experiences have included time as a Police Officer and more recently a short stint as CFO for a major garden nursery business.

 

Peter Watkins
General Manager - General Manager Northern & Western operations

Peter is responsible for developing business opportunities across northern Australia, focusing on the core business activities of wool and livestock agency, rural supplies, real estate, insurance and financial services.

With a career spanning 30 years, Peter has worked for the past 10 years developing livestock and wool operations for a national agribusiness in South Australia, the Northern Territory, the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and in Queensland. He has held several senior management positions with key account responsibilities.

 

Travis Dillon Dip RBM
General Manager - Rural Supplies

 
Travis was promoted to the role of General Manager - Rural Supplies in November 2008. In this role he takes responsibility for the National Procurement Team, Administration functions, Growforce Fertiliser Operations and Terra Firma.
In a career spanning over 16 years, Travis has experience in Rural Merchandising having worked for several major national agribusiness prior to joining Ruralco in June 2007. Travis has experience in agronomy, branch management, product management and more recently as State Manager of our CRT operations in South Australia.
 

Greg O’Neil
General Manager - CRT

 
Greg has over 27 years experience within the rural industry and is responsible for the merchandise business of the CRT / Town and Country membership nationally. He has held various senior positions with the Ruralco (and previously Combined Rural Traders) group including marketing, category and state management and since 1996, general management.
After 25 years with the Company Greg posses a sound knowledge and understanding of the key drivers of the business and a good understanding of the market having worked in NSW, Qld and WA.
 

 

Glenn Findlay BBus, ACA
General Manager - Commercial

Glenn is responsible for corporate strategy and planning, and business development. He is also responsible for the Group's information technology infrastructure and application systems.

A chartered accountant with over 20 years experience, Glenn has held various senior commercial and financial positions across a number of industries including textile manufacturing, consumer goods manufacturing
and agribusiness. Glenn joined Ruralco in October 2006 having spent the previous 7 years in senior roles with a major national agribusiness.
 

Michael Cullinan MBA-Fin, BBus, CBus- Real Est, CEA (Reiv)
General Manager - Financial Services

Michael commenced in his current role in December 2008, and is responsible for the operation and development of the groups Financial Services Division which provides an insurance and finance offering to compliment all channels to market.
Michael has 30 years experience in the Rural sector having worked for other National Agribusinesses. Starting as a cadet Michael has worked in most roles within a rural agency business, He developed a strong livestock agency base from which he moved into management roles at branch, state and regional level. Michael has held direct operational responsibility for the delivery of all services and functional roles in Real Estate, Wool, Insurance and Finance
